In early February, I had the pleasure of doing a 1-on-1 workshop with my friend and fellow photographer Levi Tijerina, in Jenner (the tiniest of towns in Northern California, about two hours north of San Francisco). I got to shoot alongside him when we met up with Elizabeth and Justin for an early morning adventure session (and a pretty sweet styled shoot later that same day, coming soon!). Watching the sun rise over the misty hills along the rocky coastline, while braving the icy wind, was pretty dang incredible. There is something to be said for shoots at this time of the day. The quiet peacefulness that comes with watching a new day break while the rest of the world is still asleep, creates a sense of closeness and intimacy, and freedom, that is so much more powerful than any other time of day. At least in my opinion.
(Levi, it was a honour shooting and adventuring alongside you. You will forever be one of my heroes.)
